Welcome to the third Weekend Recap. This is for all of you that have been too busy over the week and want to get a couple of moments to catch up!
This week’s posts:
- Sunday: Childhood Bible Stories: Jonah and the Whale – Running Away from God
- Monday: Curses & Swear Words
- Tuesday: My Christian Life as A Love Story (Pt. 1)
- Wednesday: My Christian Life as A Love Story (Pt. 2): Relationship with God
- Thursday: How I Learned How to Pray
- Friday: How Rapper’s that are Christian are Helping Me through 2016 and Beyond
Favorite Post of the Week: Jonah and the “Big Fish” was a fun one to write. It’s eye-opening how differently the bible stories were compared to what I remembered from my childhood.
Summary: This week was about my building process to becoming comfortable in my life with Christ. I talk about building a relationship with Him and it being based on my CHOICE to be different from what I was in the past. I also spent some time reflecting on my childhood lessons and creating better skills from as simple as possible.
Personal Lesson: The Christian life isn’t easy. Your life is supposed to change as Christ works inside of you to make you more reflective of Him. This may cause you to feel isolated at times, but it’s a part of the process.
Blog Updates: I am going to postpone the new schedule for ONE more week. I am enjoying writing about random things.
Personal Update: A week after my comments on The Weekend Recap #2, I ended up getting offered TWO jobs. I’ll be working as a summer program coordinator for the Office of Multicultural & Diversity Affairs and on a research project on housing practices in St. Louis. God has been taking care of me.
Next Week: Reading the Bible, Eating Right, Sleeping More, Exercising Daily, No Alcohol, and Wale’s Shine Album Review/Reflection.
